NORBA has split CALIFORNIA into 2 regions. The only way for a So. Cal. racer to be scored along with a No. Cal. racer is to join COBRA! THE SERIES THAT KEEPS CALIFORNIA TOGETHER!
COBRA starts where NORBA leaves off. A true points series for California, the biggest Mountain Biking state in the Nation.
COBRA will score riders in Cross Country and Downhill. The races to be scored will be some of the biggest races in California. The scoring will take place from March 13, 1999 (Keyesville) thru November 15, 1999. Final standings will be based on riders 10 best races. Cost for riders to join COBRA is $5.00. For this price you will receive your COBRA membership card, your season points for XC and/or DH, and final results mailed to your address. COBRA will award Jerseys to the top 3 winners of each Class/Category in December 1999. Only those classes containing appropriate number of members will qualify. If you move up a Class you will still accumulate points in the lower class you registered in at the beginning of the series.
For every membership sold IMBA and The Blue Ribbon Coalition will receive 50 cents each.
